Danbury mayor: Request to increase school spending by $34 million is 'unprecedented'

DANBURY — Mayor Roberto Alves, whose office is developing a citywide budget proposal he will present this spring, described the Board of Education’s $194.5 million budget request for 2025-26 as “unprecedented.”
